Stitch - Rockstar

 (Rockstar Vegas Bomb)

Have either of us had a bomb shot since we were 21 years old? No. 

Do either of us particularly like bomb shots? Also no.

Did we concoct this drink solely to show off one of our Stitch - Rock Stars? Absolutely.

This drink took us further from our comfort zone than any other that we've posted thus far. All we knew going in was that we wanted to feature Rockstar energy drink, as its both in the name of the card and supports this Floodborn Stitch's high octane lifestyle (he wants to rock and roll all night and party every day!). In our search we found the Vegas Bomb, which is traditionally made with Crown Royal whiskey and peach schnapps. Here, we decided to swap some ingredients to elevate it.

Our interpretation of the Vegas Bomb substitutes Glenfiddich 12 Year Single Malt and crème de pêche liqueur. Glenfiddich has very forward notes of green apple and pear, which are what we want in a fruity shot. Crème de pêche has a more organic peach flavor and lacks that candy-like quality of schnapps. Finally we added the juice from muddled blueberries for some freshness and color. When dropped into the Rockstar, the result is a light fruity punch that is both refreshing and energizing to consume!

Recipe
1.5 oz Glenfiddich 12 Year Old
0.5 oz crème de pêche liqueur
1 oz cranberry juice cocktail
6-8 fresh blueberries
8 oz Rockstar original flavor

Muddle blueberries in a shaker and top with ice. Add Glenfiddich, crème de pêche, and cranberry juice, and shake to combine. Strain into a double shot glass* using a wire mesh sieve.

Pour Rockstar into a separate glass. Drop (or pour) the shot into the Rockstar and drink immediately. 

*we did not have a double shot glass at the time and only a single shot is pictured.
